Don't get too hung up on the body sprays. I have a few in my shower and we never use them. The kids play with them more than anything. They aren't as glamorous as they seem and not very practical. I do love my big overhead rain shower though, and my handheld shower head. Another thing that's a must, that I had put in, was a gas tankless water heater. You have to have one of them to keep up with the amount of water you'll use if you want to soak for a while and have others in the house that will need to use the shower after you. All of my faucets are Delta and we love them, going on 4 years now. I highly recommend Delta, or Brizo, which Delta's designer line. Another thing is make sure you have a really good exhaust fan, not the Broan vent lights that you get at Home Depot. I got a Panasonic online. It's a ducted vent, with the fan motor being separate and mounted to a rafter in the attic. It pulls far more humidity out than a conventional fan, which you'll want if you run the shower for a while. If not, you'll have mold and issues with cabinets and such.

Forgot to mention, if you go with Delta or Brizo, be sure they have their H2O Kinetic spray heads. The spray pattern is far better than a conventional head. Like mentioned above, LCR or Coburn's is your best bet for knowledge and selection. Lowe's and Depot would be cheaper, but you can't expect to go there with questions. You pretty much need to research what you want and write down all the model numbers and hand it to them and say order this. The supply houses will cost more, but you'll get more knowledgeable help.

They do clean the hell out of a butthole though.

I'll second this. I've never been a long shower guy until I built my new house. I loved my shower so much that I tend to spend 20 minutes plus in it some nights and it sucks when my wife has to wait to take hers. I'm glad the kids have their own tank though.

I just finished renovating my master bathroom and skipped the body sprays after reading these same comments.
I designed my own shower system with a regular shower head, a rain shower, and a hand held. Went with Kohler's Bancroft line. Love love love it. Bought everything off of Amazon for much much cheaper than I could get it locally and with Prime 2-day free shipping.
If I were advising anyone on a shower design, I'd advise them to skip the 'technology' like the OP is looking at. In 10 years that shite will be super outdated and then what?
