I'm downloading Dragon Age: Inquisition. About to play for the first time.

Am I going to like it?

Do you like Bioware?
Do you like the fantasy-middle agey type setting (LOTR/GoT)
Idk if you've played any of the other DA games but the lore is pretty in depth and interesting. I played DA:I without playing 1 or 2 and enjoyed it. Kotaku did a pretty good write up on the lore for people who jumped into the series with DA:I LINK
There is also a thing called dragon age keep you can do where you can make all the choices you were presented with in 1 and 2. It's a little overwhelming if you've never played the first two but I found it was a good supplement to the Kotaku write up. You can probably find a guide online that would walk you through what each choice would impact

Pretty good game. Don't stay in the first area too long

I played it after Witcher 3 and was disappointed. I tried it again after a few months and thought it was a good game. The story is very short and you have to do side quest to advance the main story is a really bad idea when the side quest are fetch quest. Overall I still enjoyed it and think it is a good game.

Do you like to grind the same mobs repeatedly as you pass through the same areas, holding down one button for 45-75 seconds each time watching your character attack? IF SO, you made the right decision!

I found it painfully boring and middle of the road RPG fare.

It's an amazing game if you LEAVE THE HINTERLANDS as soon as you can. Once you hit In Your Heart Shall Burn, you should be hooked.
If you are a completionist you will stay in the Hinterlands for 40 hours doing bullshite, and hate the entire thing.

If you like shallow combat and doing the same shite over and over again. Some really great moments but it's a chore for most of the game

I enjoyed it. It seems to get mixed reviews around here. It can be slow at times, but some moments are great.

It's a good game. Only tedious if you're serious about achievement hunting. Just follow the storyline.

It's a good game, but like all the other Bioware RPG games, you're looking at a lot of zoning (loading from area to area within a zone) instead of true open world sandbox bubble zoning like Skyrim, Witcher 3, etc. It's like I can't go to the other side of the house without the screen halting, and then loading.

I enjoyed it. First playthrough was solo on nightmare. That was a bunch of fun.

It is a decent game. It does not have the charm of Origins though.
Yes, Hinterlands is kind of a bore.
