Advancements in ballistic technology have come far enough to where a 147gr 9mm is right there with a 180gr 40. Check out the gel tests on LuckyGunner.com. 147gr Federal HSTs are very tough to beat The marginal increase in performance from a 40 does not come close to justifying the decreased mag capacity, snappier recoil, and slightly higher ammo cost.

Only thing in 40cal worth having is a 10mm IMO

so your saying the g22 has a little bit more kick to it than the g17? I assume because of the higher grain count.

Spoke with my Navy nephew a couple of days ago about 40's. Said they were testing different calibers on pigs for some type of medic/wound care training. He said you can't tell the difference in the damage the 9mm and 40 caliber do.
