Kind of clever to avoid the Ole Miss nickname (Which some OM fans are hellbent on telling you the actual history of Reb). I feel like OM get's a pass on them being racist because everyone loves beating that deadhorse.

I'll never forget when Spencer Hall made fun of the recruitment of Laquen Treadwell to OM. "How the hell did a kid from the southside of Chicago end up in Oxford? Because every kid growing up in Chicago is born whistling Dixie and wanting to be a rebel."

To be honest, if you hate the rebels for racist reasons, you must hate the yankees. When that term was invented, yankees hated blacks just as much as the rebels
