I've read the article about having "different philosophies" but does anyone have anything to add?

Said his offense failed to perform on key games against quality opponents.

Also said he failed to find weaknesses and exploit mismatches; failed to tweak his game plan when necessary.

NCSU coach needed to fire someone as a scapegoat and Canada was the victim. That's all I've heard.

This. Their offense regressed big time when he left.

He and Dorean (HC) didn't see eye to eye anymore, Dorean blamed him for losses. We were 3rd in ACC in scoring the year he was fired and regressed after. It was a really stupid move by Dorean.

Wait, are you talking about why Cam Cameron was fired from the Baltimore Ravens? Because that is exactly what we said about Cameron's firing.

I think that Canada can do a good job. I'm done building coaches up to be world beaters until they prove it here, though. If LSU has a great offense over a sustained period, I'll be very happy. I hope he can pull it off.

NC State's offensive production collapsed

A friend at work who is a NCState fan said that every year he was at NCState Canada always tried to find a new job at other schools, even though he was given a three-year contract already. Is that true?

A young OC at a stepping stone school was looking to progress his career? You don't say?

That's usually what I heard. Mainly heard about Dorean and him not getting along, Dorean not giving him freedom to run his offense, those sorts of things.

Baltimore's offense performed worse after they fired Cameron, even though they won the Super Bowl.

Look, I think Canada will be great and I'm all for the hire. I'm simply responding to the argument that NCST fired him just because they needed a scapegoat. It is very similar to what was said about Cameron being fired from Baltimore. That is all.

Those kinds of excuses rarely hold up. Just because he is a good coordinator does not mean that it worked out everywhere. Who cares? I hope he does great here.

Are you high? You mean the ravens offense that made Joe Flacid the highest paid QB in the league? No one ever said this about Cameron.

That's not even mentioning the fact that "even though the won the super bowl." Invalidates everything you said

To be fair to Cam they were a dropped TD away from being in it and possibly winning the season before.

To say the Ravens won the Super Bowl because they fired Cam isn't entirely true.

Wasn't this also the reason why he and Bielema parted ways when Bielema elected not to bring him to Arkansas?
