The word after the SECCG and all the rumors that he showed up drunk before or after the game was that he wouldn't be back at Bama, no matter what. I think Finebaum reported this, as well.

He's not going to get a lot of opportunities with all the past facts and new rumors swirling around. I could see Kiffin giving him a shot at FAU, but I don't think many others will.

It would be a risk to make him and on-field coach again, but probably a worthwhile one. His contract would need to be iron-clad, so LSU could cut him loose if he slips up. We would also need someone working on the admin side ready to side in and at least take over his recruiting responsibilities if he couldn't make it a season.

I think it would be worth the risk for LSU. I think people have forgotten in all the drama that he is a very good offensive coach. Would it be worth the risk for him? That's the real question here.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't think that LSU would give him a shot until he shows that he can stay sober.
