*******Update 6:30***Tidbits on LSU OC search

This post will say information that has been stated on here previously. I received some new insight.
Lincoln Riley was interviewed and was #2 behind Kiffen. LSU wanted him but they felt he would not leave OU. They had serious discussions. However, because he was not flown in for a 2nd interview, is the reason I believe Canada coming to LSU tomorrow is a formality and will be offered officially tomorrow.A visit at this Negotiation level is usually a mere formality. If Canada is not announced tomorrow or very early Wednesday then Something went wrong.
Riley's interview was very hush hush. I am told the only reason he would not come is because of what he has returning at OU next year. Riley did not want not start over again because an off year could hurt his chances in obtaining a HC position next year. LSU did not hold back on money. If Riley were being flown in tommorrow then he would have been announced tomorrow as OC.
I have been high on Canada but only heard him mentioned in the 3-5 range. He is a pro/ Power Spread guy which fits the offensive style O wants. The knock on Canada was recruiting in South& Texas. I would except a position coach to fill that void now.
Helfrich also did receive an interview, but like I have said he is not on the top 3. Crazier things have happened before, but I don't think gets it. I was told he seemed awkward in the interview.
I believe Sark is next if Canada does not accept. Also, if Sark is not named Bama's OC , O will attempt bring him on staff as position coach. LSU pays its position coach much more than FAU's OC.
Nothing ground breaking in this post. I hope it helps shape what's going on behind the scenes. My friend has not been directly involved in this hiring.
NEW UPDATE:
Deal is done and finishing up details. Should be announced either tonight or tomorrow morning.
Today's interview was nothing more than talking numbers and face to face meet & greet. Principal deal was done last night.
Hope PC is in the morning.

Interesting. Bringing in Sark as a QB coach would help in recruiting and should help alleviate fears about passing game development in Canada's offense.

Any rumblings on why it's been perceived by many that this has been a hard sell? Lack of talent? Lack of future? Riley scenario? BR community not that great?

But the media hasn't reported it and the nimrods on here need daily reports so we can't believe you.

Nothing at all on Sterlin Gilbert I assume?

So just to be clear, if this post can be trusted, LSU did not hire its first or second choice for OC. We now have our third choice OC playing for our third choice HC. Dat binder, though.

I don't think anyone is worried about Sark being FAU's offensive coordinator.

I'm not saying your post is BS but when did Riley interview?
He's been on the road from Houston to New York recruiting and attending events such as the Heisman ceremony

Who is performing the interviews?

Can't we go to 9 assistants next season? Maybe we create an offensive position for Sark?

Yeah I don't believe this

So you're telling me that Orgeron hasn't been waiting on only Kiffin all this time? According to the rant, interviews only started as a mad scramble after they found out Kiffin was going to be a head coach. We can't believe the rant?
In all reality, thanks for the information. I'm pretty sure that anybody with sense understood that this was happening behind the scenes, but it is nice to get some confirmation.

I'm not ready to post a thread about this yet, but Corey Raymond is being heavily courted. They are fighting to keep him. He wants to be a DC.
I would be surprised if he is at LSU next season at this point.

So they didn't believe Riley would leave but they didn't even try to entice him?
