re: Anybody ever modify a guitar or other stringed instrument,to string differently?

Took an old Peavy guitar... put bass strings on E A D and tuned the whole thing down to open C

Use it for Blues based Metal... epic low end and still have plenty of highs for lead

Its gimmicky but fun
