It would be more like comparing it to someone with an actual muscle weakness disorder, like myasthenia gravis. And surely no one would object to them getting treatment
And there's a computer test for ADD, not just the very subjective questionnaire

Some ppl are easily distracted chemically. Don't bother convincing the self righteous puritans on the board of that though

It would be akin to diagnosing a woman with Reason and Logic Deficit Disorder

ADD just means you're lazy. It's a cop out for shitty parents

Not cheating but it is using drugs

Not even kind of sorta
And even if so the NCAA would still not allow that person to be on a banned substance and play, mainly because, just like with ADD, everybody would then get diagnosed with a "muscle weakness disorder "

Why are y'all taking prescription drugs when you can stimulate your mind with herbal nootropics available at your local supplement stores (or online of course)?
I take CarbonFire 213 Complex. It's amazing. It's an extra boost in the morning and early afternoon, allows me to focus, and certainly is a positive mood enhancement.
When I look in a mirror the moment after I take 213 Complex, the color of my eyes change from a beautiful pale green to an alarmingly intense pale green. The world gets brighter. The sun seems more gold, the sky bluer, and the wind has warmth. The future radiates optimism. It makes me a better person.

I haven't ever had a deadline extended, but I have been in a separate room to take a test. I have also had 1.5x extension while taking tests to allow me to get up and take a break for couple of minutes. There could be something as simple as someone clicking a mechanical pencil for more lead, and if I hear it while not on meds, my test basically ends there. No matter what I do, I will not be able to finish anything else

Same with me, Hammer.
I have a thousand thoughts going through my mind at all times UNLESS I'm incredibly interested in something. If that happens I hyperfocus on that subject to the point of near obsession.
I'll be driving down the highway and suddenly realize I've been counting powerline poles for the past 20 miles while at the same time having a conversation with my wife, planning a future sculpture series, and working out the details of a woodworking project.
All at the same time, simultaneously. It's mentally exhausting!
But on the other hand, hyperfocus is almost like a super power. It's AWESOME when I'm in a hyperfocus zone. Problem is, I can't just induce hyperfocus at any moment. Most of the time I'm all over the place trying to sort through the myriad of thoughts bombarding my brain and wishing I could hyperfocus on normal things.
That's why I started researching herbal nootropics about 6 months ago. And I'm FAR more focused now than I've ever been. I'm no longer experiencing creativity block. I have much more optimism about planning and finishing a project than ever before.
I just wish I would've done something regarding my clear-as-day HDHD 20 years ago...but there's no need to think about the past. I have a new focus on life and it's great! It's as if there's 20 paths in front of me and a ray of sunshine just broke through the overcast sky to shine upon the right path.
