If you invested an equal amount as your SS tax into blue chip stocks during the course of a 35 year working career you cannot lose money in the stock market unless you're a moron.
Historically you could have the Great Depression happen in the middle of your career and you would still come out way ahead.
I'm extremely judgmental. If you end up on welfare you've made a long list of really dumb decisions in your life.
