Always aggravated me that Ben's girlfriend "got the house" in their breakup. They weren't married and she wasn't integral to finding the treasure.

Women. Get everything anyway.
It seemed like NT 2 set up for National Treasure 3 with a search for The Fountain of Youth. Why didn't they make it? Nicholas Cage was great in those movies and it was a really good concept. The whole family enjoyed them. With all of the terrible movies he is in, why not keep making ones that people actually want to see?
Who thinks that a 3rd movie wouldn't have been a big hit yet again?
They need to get to that.

Their breakup and squabbling over assets in the beginning of the second one always bothered the shite out of me.
They weren't married. She had little to do with finding the treasure (she was only in it because she was obsessively trying to get the Declaration of Independence back) and absolutely nothing to do with the research. She turned them away rudely when they warned her that Sean Bean's men were going to steal it.
She shouldn't have a claim to anything.
