I'll just give some advice.

When the top of your climbing stand breaks and you fall backwards, hanging from the bottom piece by the footstraps, you will realize that gravity never takes a break.

Where's the advice on getting out of that situation?

I shite my pants in the duck blind one morning.

Beer from the night before mixed with a thermos of coffee and a bunch of cigarettes in the morning is a deadly combo.

That time, I was lucky enough to be able get moving, swinging kinda like a pendulum, just far enough to grab a small tree. Was able to pull up on it enough where my foot could get out the straps. Held on to the tree until I was able to gracefully fall feet first to the ground. Luckily by the time I got turned around my feet were only 6' or so from the ground (I was climbing down when it happened). Hobbled halfway to truck, then realized it was faster and less effort if I just crawled.
