All around it. If there was an old house or camp around I'd search the whole area.
Work in a grid pattern and keep track of what you searched. And dog every signal, even if you think it's trash in the ground. Dig it up and put it aside

Yep. Their dogs do more damage than we do, and we fill our holes back up.
