One month ago today Trump was elected - What is your story.

For me I was cautiously optimistic after watching his last rallies the night before.
However as the day went on and I saw the offshore betting odds/PredictIt prices going further and further in Crooked's favor, doubt began to set in.
The liberals on this board weren't helping, as were the ones who kept coming in to post about how Trump's offshore and PredictIt odds were getting worse and worse.
Frank Luntz's tweet really got me dejected. With leftists/NeverTrumpers on this board at full gloat by that point, I threw in the towel, closed my computer at work, and focused on other things until it was time to go home.
I walked home with my head hanging low and dejected. I was planning on going to bed as soon as I got home and calling in sick to work the next day. As I was about to go to bed my dad sent me a text message saying Trump is now at +400. I said WTF, he was at +1100 last time I looked, what is happening. Booted up my computer and saw Trump was now winning Florida. Then I saw he was ahead in early totals in Michigan and closing in North Carolina. I decided to stay up, but wasn't getting my hopes up, but just wanted to see how close Trump could make it.
Rest is history. If my dad never texts me, I go to bed and don't find out Trump won until the next morning.
I Stayed up till like 2am to watch his victory speech and browse through all the melts.

I knew it would be close. I felt things trending his way. For him to lose bigly would have shattered every idea I hold sacred about marketing and consumer behavior as well as my notion that elections are glorified popularity contests
I thought he'd flip 1 rust belt state, but watching him flip all 3 with MN so close...Shocking

At 6PM, CNN reported a source in Trump's team said they would need a miracle. I was perplexed. Nobody would say that while voting was on going. This led me to believe CNN was attempting to suppress voting in the Florida panhandle.
At the same time Trump's team was phone bombing talk radio as GOTV in Florida.
When Florida began reporting I had my laptop open going over the data from 2012 and 2016. I was concerned because Romney's margin in Duval evaporated, but Trump actually flipped Pinellas. When the panhandle started reporting and showed Trump outpacing Romney's numbers I knew Trump had won the election. I went and bought a bottle of champagne and some froyo at around 9:30 and waited for the melts.
I was up still posting on this board at 6:30AM half drunk, unable to sleep

When I was at work, Hillary was winning. I wasn't feeling very hopeful.
Then I remembered that people all around this land were just then getting off of work, and working folk overwhelmingly want to MAGA.
That's when the cavalry came in to save the day.

I never went to bed. Finally passed out about 9am. We'll never be named in the history books on down the line but we will know that we had a part in doing something that might, or might not, revolutionize American politics. Time will tell.

I had fallen for the liberal medias pitch that all was lost. Tuned in to hope Trump would keep it close and as the night progressed I kept drinking bourbon and swimming in liberal tears. Had no intention of watching the coverage initially but wound up staying up for Trumps speech.

Never expected Trump to win. I was on record early on that TPTB would marshal all forces against him.
I was always impressed by his rallies and the energy that was present (both his, and the crowds) and knew that would translate into a lot of votes, but I also knew the Dems would cheat/steal like never before to put HRC in the White House.
Trump (and his team) was very smart and very targeted and was able to overcome the Dems' fraud advantage, much to my surprise.
Watching the melts and tantrums that night, and ever since, has been nothing short of bliss. His Cabinet selections have been, for the most part, excellent (I love Pruitt for EPA) and rather than give an appearance of activity during his transition, the man is continuing to work his arse off.
It is going to be an interesting 4 (and hopefully 8) years.

I pulled a Michelle Obama. I went to bed early. I was optimistic for one reason. The media said Clinton would win and the media has a long history of lying.
My wife woke up at midnight and watched coverage right up till the end when Fox announced Trump won. I woke up at 4 am and she told me the news. I immediately turned off Fox and went to the big 3 networks explaining to her that watching their anchors crying would be a lot more fun. It was.

Kept up on here pretty much all day/night
I was pretty much refreshing non stop and pacing the whole time with FBN(which was great) in the background. Got a bit nervous before 7 CT but had faith in the panhandle.
One of the best nights ever on TD imo

I tried to be optimistic based on I knew the polls were fake and looking at all the objective evidence. There was zero enthusiasm for crooked Hillary. I also called Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin

I have an hour commute, and as I began the drive home (well, to the polling place first) and I was pessimistic at first about his chances. At some point during the drive I turned on Trump's campaign rally closing song "You Cant Always Get What You Want" and somehow I began to feel hopeful. Went to the poll and voted to MAGA, and then went for a jog to just clear my head from all of the political talk. Started to feel even better and more helpful.
By the time I got home and turned on the news and realized he had a chance, and continued to watch through the night to his victory speech, it was basically like that Vince McMahon gif,

When Florida initially reported and Trump was crushing Hillary in the opening salvo I thought Trump would win in a landslide. It got close but then Trump pulled away again. Just felt like a win was going to happen after Hillary couldn't get Florida. So popped the champagne then and quit watching. Then started watching again sometime between 12am and 1am to see the official victory.

I was nervous, but I had a gut feeling that Trump could pull it off. When the early returns were coming in, especially from Ohio, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, I thought all could be lost because Hildabeast was winning in all three. As things progressed, the races tightened up and I became more anxious and excited, but still thought it would be a close thing. Then the dominoes began to fall, and Trump was racking them up. I stayed up to watch his victory speech, cussed at Podesta the Molesta for covering for Hillary, who was either curled up in a ball wailing, or drunk, or both. My wife speculated that she was dead. Then I went to bed but it took awhile to fall asleep because of the adrenalin rush. The next day at work, people just had this look of relief on their faces, and would give you a knowing grin as you passed by in halls.

I am still torn as to what I am more happier about, Hillary losing or the liberals still melting. Do like the image of Hillary curled up in a ball & drinking wine. A lot of wine if one believes the internet.

I did not believe it was going to happen and was resigned to an HRC presidency (confident it would be limited to four years at least). But solely for the sake of morbid curiosity I began watching the returns around 5:00 CST and was stunned at how well he was doing. Wanted to see the HRC concession speech but finally went to bed at just after midnight.
Slept soundly

I was on the train for a long time, watching (sampling) his rallies for months on end. You could see the growing momentum, especially when considering some of the locations he held the rallies.
On election night, I was encouraged when he pulled Florida and saw he was leading in NC, but two other things convinced me he was going to win:
- while he eventually faded when 80% of the votes were reported in Virginia, he held on for a longer time than anticipated
- when Senator Johnson rallied, beating Feingold in Wisconsin, especially when it looked bleak early on.
I stayed up to watch the Podesta speech, Trump speech as well as the liberal melts on ABC, MSNBC and CNN. Drank a twelve pack during the course of the evening and turned in at 4 am eastern, only to get back up at 6 am to get my kids off to school.
What an unbelievable, great and joyous day/night it was.
MAGA!

All day I prepared for the worst, conditioning myself for what seemed like the inevitable disappointment.
That night I refused to turn on the TV. Read news updates on here, Drudge, and The_Donald.
Then it began to turn. I was afraid to jinx it. Like a nervous baseball fan, I would not turn on the TV. Not until 1 AM and it seemed done did budge.
And the melt was glorious. Podesta with his forced speech at 2 AM. The speechless media. It was great. A moment for the ages.

I bounced around all day going from one precinct to another as a poll Watcher for the R's. Not sure why they moved us around except maybe to keep anyone from getting too chummy with any of the election officials and keep them on their toes. I read this site all through the day and it was great to read the positive vibes because every network and Sirius XM political channel just was all Hillary, our first female president. It wasn't until almost 8:30 before I could get home, see the kids off to bed and settle in. By that time, cautious optimism was creeping in and notable doubt was starting to prevail on the networks regarding Hill's chances.
This site, as always, was incredible and buoyed my spirit the entire day then was filled with all kinds of awesome goodness beginning around 10:00 when reality started setting in.
I'm still jubilant and euphoric and what I'm seeing in the transformation and markets warms my heart and makes the continued tears and melts of liberals all the more sweeter. Every day is like Christmas morning with a new present, gift-wrapped by some SJW, Liberal pundit or by God Emperor Trump himself! I just feel like hugging everyone!

Had the stomach flu and was spewing all day. I recovered just in time to watch election results come in and laugh as Wolf kept trying to find votes for Hillary.
