I'm not disagreeing with this; I'm saying that something(s) caused the broken home IN ADDITION to the terrible policies that you mentioned, which I agree with, like poor self control, poor mental health, and lower ability.

In other words, the "broken home" itself is an indicator of the problem, both those that are inherent to the individuals themselves and the poor polices of the government. What I'm saying is that, it's those problems that are greatly contributing to the outcome, irrespective of the single-player, out of wedlock home itself, although that assuredly does play a role. I just think it's a mediator between the other factors and the poor outcomes.
