It is 20 degrees outside and I have to carry Sir Winston most of the way to the park so he won't get rock salt stuck in between his paw pads.
But I don't care - I welcome this weather because it means I don't have to make small talk and then get asked for a dollar by five black men in a four block radius.
ETA: The leftist war on gentrification is proof at how fricking stupid liberalism is. Gentrifiers are ALWAYS liberals. ALWAYS. There are 99 good things about gentrification and 1 "bad" thing (that is actually good). So dumb.

I thank god I rarely have to go downtown to the Shreveport courthouse, there aren't many bums but I can't stand pan handlers. They should be beat with a rubber hose.

A good portion of the homeless suffer from mental illness. I've dealt with one who was educated in some of the finest schools in the country. Keeping such a person institutionalized is next to impossible. Once this person sobered up, they were smarter than the mental health professionals. A month later, they were living on the street covered in lice begging for money despite being very well off (by the way - the person was white too). The problems with getting those people off the street arguably started under a Republican administration.
