Kimber offers a production gun in the .280ai. It's not cheap, but cheaper than going custom. Other than that, I'm sure any custom rifle maker will chamber it in .280ai if you like. Recoil, from what I've read is definitely better than a mag, but about the same as a 30-06, so much greater than the 6.5. I'm wanting to get one and have looked into the caliber a lot and really like what I have found.

The nosler gun isn't bad either. Just wondering is you were going to make your own where would you start?
