If for no other reason than to piss Saban off.

From an article in SEC Country:
"The (Head Coaching search) chain reaction continues if the Ducks don’t choose Taggart and the USF job doesn’t open up. Kiffin could then decide to become the offensive coordinator at LSU. Alabama head coach Nick Saban reportedly wants to avoid that, so he’s been advocating for Kiffin’s potential as a head coach."

Good Lord, man…he's micromanaging the careers of his assistant coaches?

Saban resets the bar on "control freak".

No coach would want one of their coordinators to take a coordinator job at another school in the conference

You think Miles was happy for Chavis going to A&M?

The obsession with Saban is sickening. We should hire based on qualifications and who will bring us the best offense and opportunity to win. Kiffin is not that guy.

This is exactly why I dislike the kiffin pampers.

Can't think for ourselves, so copy Alabama, but worse?

Not a good reason there. You hire an OC that will be the best play caller for the type of offense the HC envisions. Whatever offense O wants to be installed (which I am sure is somewhere in the magical binder) needs an accompanying OC who understands how to design plays to fit the plan. And someone who is flexible and can design an offense that can compliment the talent he inherited until his input on prospects is fully realized the next recruiting cycle. Hopefully someone who can stay at least three years. Within Kiffin we would be lucky to get two out of him if he was hired.

LSU is the biggest road block to an SEC championship...and playoff spot.

Kiffin would be a horrible hire. The only reason he has had success at Bama is because Satan has his nuts on a mouse trap, one of those big arse industrial strength traps. One false move and Bam!
We've seen what happens when the HC brings in his best buddy to be OC. Do we really want to repeat that?

He helped rehab the guy's career. Is it out of line for him to not want Kiffin to go to a division rival?
