So every team in the NCAA feels like they have a chance, like in basketball.
It also gives top seeds the advantage they deserve by getting to beat up on a G5 team week one of the playoffs. They've won all season to earn that advantage of playing a lower seed, while their next round opponent is battling it out with another power five.
Can you imagine the excitement of a 14 seed MAC Champion potentially taking down a 3 seed Big XII champ? It'd be incredible tv.
