This was the beginning of the end. Politics has no ability to solve social problems unless both sides are able to talk to each other in a real, authentic manner with an open mind. The Democrats were more like this back then. Tip O'Neil and Reagan used to have dinner and drinks with each other in the evening as they compromised and had mutual give and take. The system was functioning and not gridlocked like you see today. The lunatic fringe has taken over the reins of the Democratic Party and has laid it bare as to what they believe and who they really are.

Well that's because they have become more concerned about social issues than serious issues. If you notice, Trump never let them go full bore on the social issues this election because he kept them off balance with all the other stuff coming out of his mouth.
And by God, it worked.
