While the record is what made me think about this, I'm not saying the record should have dictated O's decision. Guice's health is the main reason you don't put him in for another 5 carries when we are up 21 with 3 minutes left.

Fournette broke the record with 10:00 left in the game when we were up 10 and going in to score. He was coming off of a high ankle sprain. Why weren't you concerned about protecting his health then?

Again, they played Fournette until be broke the record. They played Guice until he broke the record. They were treated the exact same.

Are you seriously comparing this:

quote:

10:00 left in the game when we were up 10

to this???:

quote:

up 21 with 3 minutes left

Why weren't you concerned about protecting his health then?

I've already said I have no problem whatsoever with LF being rested in the OM game. He should have been. My question is why the different treatment of Guice in the A&M game?

quote:

Again, they played Fournette until be broke the record.

Uh, no. They played Fournette until the game was out of reach. He just happened to break the record along the way.

On the last offensive play of a game we were winning by 21.

They were treated the exact same.

He broke the record with 11:00 to play in the 3rd quarter, on 8 carries.
