The school system only lost $10,000 after insurance covered some of it. I wish there were an administrative procedure where the first $10,000 of her pension is withheld.

Totally agree with you. Not sure why this was downvoted. I'd add another $10k to pay for the audit, though

When you add the $10k audit cost to the $10k net un-recovered wire transfers, she cost taxpayers $20k.

Plus the audit fees and who knows what other admin costs.
