Reworking the Decoy Spread During the Split (TX Rigged)

No longer will I be forsaken to wind up string and adjust strap weights during a cold rain. Happened twice this weekend.
I'm making the move to all TX rigs...
I've got my weights, but what were the best options for line and crimps?
Heavy mono, weed eater line? Wasn't their a package with the tool and crimps?
Homeboy here needs some links...

Cabelas sells a big spool of line and crimps. I buy swivels and weights from fishing stores, end up cheaper than buying branded decoy weights

I just bought the crimps for the size mono I used - 300# I think - and used normal pliers to crimp down on it. You don't need a perfect connection on the crimp and I didn't feel like spending the extra $25 on crimping pliers.

Honestly, if this is just something you enjoy sitting around and tinkering with, then have at it!
If not, the pre rigged stuff is totally worth it and aren't that expensive.

I went as cheap as possible. Yellow weed eater string, 1 1/2 ounce egg weights ($.99 for a pack of 3) and a couple packs of $1.99 crimps, both from Academy. The crimps were a little large for the string, but I used a pair of cutting pliers and squeezed the middle of them to make smaller, then crimped with the cutting pliers.
Snap-swivels tend to get snagged in the decoy bag, so I just use crimps. Nothing to snag on.
Walmart and Academy both sell the thick black rubber line also if you wanna go that route.

Google SNL Corp. They are out of FL and have everything you need.

We have about half of ours Texas rigged and looking to convert the rest.
I was looking to see how much Cheaper it would be doing it myself but with having to buy the weights it wasn't gonna be much cheaper than buying the pre rigged Gamewinner brand.
Anybody know where to get weights on the cheap?

Buy Lifetime rigs and save yourself frustration on the back end. I changed all my rigs to Lifetime several years ago and it was the best thing I ever did with decoys.

How many decoys are you talking about?
