If we are going to a "spread offense" we need to move some fullbacks.

I say move Ducre and Mouton to ILB now. Before the bowl game and let Aranda start working with them. Those guys are big and athletic and would punish running backs. Plus it would giv us 2 behind White. Has this been discussed buy the coaches you think?

At first I thought this was a dumb idea, but then now I'm not sure. Interesting to think about.

Doubt it's been mentioned by the coaches, but if it's feasible, the rumor mill will do work.

Mouton would be better served as a TE blocking specialist. He played TE in high school and has good enough hands.

No clue for Ducre. He looks like he's just straight power.

Ducre would probably make a horrible LB.

Mouton, give him a shot there, or H-back/TE. Think you keep Moore for his 1 last season at FB for goal line situations.

Biggest question is what are they telling our FB commit Tory Carter?

Wasn't Warren Sapp a TE or FB originally? Might be interesting to see A FB as an LB.

This was brought up last year when Aranda was hired. I don't think they are capable, if we see this I know they do.

Linebackers and fullbacks are relatively the same size, but this does not mean they can just swap to defense and perform at a high level. If we are gonna go spread then we have to start recruiting players that fit the scheme.

Most spread offenses use a fullback or h-back.

How can't ducre smell the field. This dude is 240 with 4.5 speed. Inside the 20 he should be a monster.

Mouton may be too far along. He would be a better move to TE than LB, IMHO. We still have use for FB situationally.

Ducre was the #1 FB coming out of high school. He could be pressed into service as a tailback - just little evaluation of him as a defensive player.

I think Isaiah Washington might get a look at linebacker, perhaps inside.

Mouton would make a great H back though given his background at Acadiana. He'd be perfect in a Veer and Shoot

The good spread offenses use fullbacks. Remember Phillip lutzenkirken from auburn? Forgot the really good fbs name from Ohio State but he was in the NFL also.

Divinity will move inside. He's only a freshman so still time to bulk him up. The guys is a natural head hunter which is what you want. He and White are you starting ILBs next year w Alexander as the third guy.

That leaves a vacancy at OLB which will probably be filled by Washington or Thornton -- or even Corey Thompson if he gets approved for a sixth year.
