I would say this was probably the most memorable place I'd ever been.
At the top of the Mountain in the middle of a prairie there were 8-10 tee pee rings. Probably the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Took 2 days on horseback to get there.
We stayed at a friends house a few miles from the T E Ranch on the South Fork Road....most scenic views I can remember.
I would want to go to Wyoming since a cousin lives in Jackson Hole

I went elk hunting in Colorado last year and it was amazing.
I went on opening day of rifle season and the elk were high up in the mountains. I would wait until later in teh season because that altitude was tough on this coon arse.
OTC tags are easy to come by in some areas but not others. I want to cabellas and bought one. It depends on what unit you are in. Do a little homework.
