I don't believe that's how it has been reported it went at all.

- LSU sets sights on Herman
- Herman is interested.
- Texas fires Strong.
- Herman expresses intrest to speak to Texas.
- Alleva bows out like a bitch, instead of getting into the bidding war you think happened.

We may not have gotten Herman. He may have been dead set on going to Texas, but we will never know. We didn't try.
