I'm not an avid soccer fan but I'm trying to get into it more. Is it just a tv illusion or does Arsenals field not look as wide as most?

I'm kind of a newbie too, but in soccer the teams are listed as home vs away, instead of how we're used to it being away vs home.
This is the main Olympic stadium from the 2012 games. The commentators have been talking about how the fans are really far back, so maybe the cameras are further back than usual too? That could make it look smaller than your average field.
