Any AD that schedules one is stupid. Everyone said the playoff would allow for big time early season games because their was more margin for error. But it's obvious the committee values those games more than winning your conference.

Colorado could win the PAC12 tonight and won't be in consideration for the playoff because they chose to play Michigan. They could have played Idaho instead and tonight's game would be a play in for the playoffs.

Its a gamble no doubt but look at Washington. They needed to win last night to get in the playoff because their OOC schedule was so bad. Ill grant you that sometimes it works against you but Ohio State is getting a bit of a pass over the Big 10 Champ (possibly) because they have a good OOC win over Oklahoma.

Well, it isn't changing for Ohio State. They have great OOC match ups coming up in the next 8 years. The only problem is that some match ups (Oregon and TCU) are looking a lot worse than they did when they were scheduled.

At this moment in 2022 (or 2023) Ohio State has Texas and Notre Dame scheduled in back to back OOC games. I'm looking forward to that year.

OSU lost to a horrible VT and still made the playoffs.

It is about your name more than anything.

The blue bloods will more than likely get the benefit of the doubt however the situation favors them and everyone else will not.

These OOC games are scheduled 4-5 years out, nobody has a clue if the team will be trending up or down when the actual match up arrives.
