Yeah, presumably. What's the point of this query exactly?
That the stock market overreacts, despite no justification for that overreaction; however, it does usually self-correct.

So to argue this:
quote:

Our first impressions rule our emotions forever.
When the "first impression" of election night by the stock market didn't maintain because reason kicked in.

That is also counter to this:
quote:

If you are looking at Trump’s claims of success with Ford and Carrier in terms of technical accuracy and impact on the economy, you will be underwhelmed.
since that same tendency toward "reason" wouldn't support this:
quote:

The political press will dismiss Ford and Carrier with fact-checking. But the stock market will be smarter.
In other words, the press will resorts to facts, but the market will be "smarter" and have an opposite reaction, presumably counter to the facts.

Besides, if he is going to base his hypothesis on the irrational nature of humans, then it's dishonest to presume the irrationality would favor one side of rationality over the other.

This is just another example of Adams making things up, but hiding that by pretending it's based on some expert understanding of psychology.

You presume to much. He describes the business world as understanding this move as a CEO type move that will inspire confidence in future actions
