News said he's considering. Terrible in my opinion. We need a true veteran in that post, not someone who can see Russia from their back yard.

I don't like Palin either...but you do realize that she never said this, right? Because honestly, I'm not sure. Such is the power of the media and Hollywood. Lots of people out there that don't realize that Tina Fey made the line up and think Palin actually said this.

I would prefer a Veteran, however having retired from the VA, I have seen Veterans in management positions within the VA who were opposed to the medical care veterans needed.
So getting a Veteran is no guarantee. But I think all VA employees should be veterans. After thoroughly exhausting the applications for open positions, and there are no Veterans qualified available, then a non Veteran could be hired within the VA. This is not how it goes now, though it is pretended to happen this way
