Brennan is a top 5 pro style QB. When the ship was sinking after les was fired, he was the glue of the class.

Even if O wants a dual threat QB, you have one already committed. You could turn your focus to 2018 dual threats.

Brennan showed loyalty to not only the program but to O. He could've easily jumped ship the minute O was hired and said hell, I don't want to play for a fricking D line coach.

Instead he still said he couldn't wait to play at lsu. What does O do? Offer the top ranked dual threat in the same class as he and narcisse and he's committed to bama.

I sure as hell hope he has a plan because that is an awful move imo from a recruiting standpoint.

Brennan going elsewhere is going to be a devastating loss for LSU.

So what is the thinking on how this played out? Given how quickly Brennan backed out after the offer, it seems like he let O know that he was planning to leave, and O reacted. Most seem to think it was the other way around.

Everyone thinks this is some kind of sign that Kiffin is coming

Kiffin wont be a OC when these kids are Jrs.

Also wasn't the draw of Kiffin that he could work an offense around whoever he had?

We have offers to many QB's. And Brennan will have QB competition anywhere he goes. Sounds like he just took it personally whenever he shouldn't have.

He doesn't fit what they want to do.

So we bring Brennan in just to bring him in? So just lie to him?

O is the coach, the coach wants a DT QB. He is not beholden to Brennan and MB is not beholden to LSU.

CLEARLY, LSU pushed Myles out. That means they wanted him to decommit. If they want him to move on, then that means they are targeting someone else.

It is what it is. I don't like it, but at least now we have a QB recruiting strategy (DT) instead of randomness.

If we get Tua it's fine

if MB comes back at some point it's fine

Since Coach Orgeron is new to recruiting and knows basically nothing, I'm sure he'll take your advice under consideration.

I agree as well. Why lose a kid like him who has been firmly all LSU up until you made that comment. Just plain dumb.

What makes Myles so good? He has broken a bunch of state records? So what. Nick Brosette did that. Trey Quinn did that. Everyone on this board acts like he is the second coming of Jesus. CEO is going after a Day 1 started that is a DT QB. Myles isn't either of those.

These are the types of decisions good head coaches have to make and it shows O doesn't have the makeup to make these important decisions. There's a thin line between being great and just average and this shows a bad direction.

This type of underhanded recruiting crap is what I was afraid of when you hire an unqualified candidate.

Even if he gets the kid from Hawaii, ths is a bush league move.
