First, if they are having kids then it becomes an issue. People with hyphenated names is weird. If it was me then my kids will have my last name no question or bye.
Second, there are careers where the maiden name is used- lawyer, doctor, media, etc. BUT the marriage license states the married name as does all the banking, mortgage, etc documents. They just use the maiden name in their profession. No issue.
Last, I can't believe this is an issue at all these days. If a woman will not take her man's name after marriage then run. She will be a pain in the arse if THAT is a problem. Of all things.
