Archer over Spurrier meant we didn't reach the heights we could have, though we still had an SEC title and some good seasons.
Following Archer with Curley Hallman because Joe Dean went cheap is what set us back the better part of a decade. The only reason it wasn't worse was that DiNardo was able to get Kevin Faulk to sign in 1995 and get three bowl wins for us.
