i'd argue china and cuba are apples/oranges ... i'd also argue that failure in one place shouldn't stop an attempt in another ...

It will, but the Baby Boomers are still in control in that country and still stupidly idolize Mao. Gen Y hates what Mao did to their country and will change it. China will be a democracy by 2040.
