Yes and it would create more odd scenarios. Like the looser of the Big 10 championship game would get knocked out the top 8, but Michigan and Ohio State would still get in. Two teams that didn't make it to the championship game.

Indeed it would. Just look at NCAA Basketball. 68 teams are selected and are still at least 5-7 teams bickering about not being chosen.

Exactly. It would generate even more controversy and bullshite for people to fight about because after the elite zero loss and one loss teams are in, there'll be a huge fight over which two loss teams get in.

And you'll be able to subjective argue any of those teams' resumes by cherry picking stats.
