Those of us who oppose those 3rd party candidates have already provided lengthy reasons for it over the last several months/year.
Essentially it boils down to a wasted and selfish vote for those who claim to be voting their conscience while not caring if the rest of the country has to live with their decision to vote for someone who is guaranteed to NOT win the election.
Love it or hate it, we have a two-party system. A vote for anyone else is as good as not voting at all. We have primaries where people can vote for the candidate that most closely resembles their own ideology. The general election is for voting for a candidate who will become president, not making a political statement that won't be heard except in a negative way.

There were two choices in the election. And whatever you did (or didn't do) only had an impact on one of the two choices.
People can pretend it was something different all they want and tell themselves that they did something more "principled" than supporting one of those two choices, but at the end of the day that's all they are doing -- pretending.
