think Joe read between the lines and realized all he was doing was being manipulated into making Herman more money. Herman to UT has been the worst kept secret in CFB. I understand the board's frustration that we seemingly didn't try, but I don't think there was any amount of money that would have gotten him here with the UT job open.

no I just think alleva's ego wouldn't allow him to play ball with Jimbo. To get a guy to essentially make a lateral move, you're going to have to make one hell of an offer. If he was your guy this year and last year, you don't let ego stand in the way.
