Call Marchand House Movers in Gonzales. They travel or can tell you who in that area. Houses are moved all the time. You will need permits, escorts, route planning etc...
Depends on how far to move and the size of house but I've known quite a few that turn out very well. They are supported so moving them isn't much of a deal. Not necessarily upgraded electrical or plumbing but certainly you have to reinstall.

Depends on the age of the home obviously. Just have to upgrade most to meet current code. At least when it comes to the meter and panel.
