Buddies and I are going on a week long golf trip and are looking for solid betting games in addition to the usual Nassau, Wolf, Snakes + Camel/ etc
OT, what say you?

"Blow Johnnie behind the tree" - always a great time.

In addition to stroke games you can throw in $20 per player longest drive on a straight away par 5's, and $20 per player closest to the hole on par 3's for some quick results type betting and pots.

6. SNAKE
PERFECT FOR: Learning how to putt better in the clutch
DESCRIPTION: You know those three-footers that your group always swats away as "gimmes?" You can't do that with this game. You have to putt them out. And any time a player three-putts or worse (the ball has to be on the green for the first putt), a specific amount is added to a pot. That money keeps accruing during the round and the last person to three-putt has to pay the other players the amount in the pot. There are many variations of this game including a progressive version where the pot amount starts at a dime and doubles each time someone three-putts. Another version makes the person with the most three-putts pay. It's recommended to play this game when the course isn't crowded because it can slow things down. However, it's a great game to learn how to make short putts and not take other putts for granted.
7. BOUNCE BACK
PERFECT FOR: Shaking off bad holes
DESCRIPTION: Among the many side bets, this one is my favorite because it rewards players who don't give up. Essentially, any time a player follows up a double bogey or worse with a par or better on the next hole, they win a point (dollar value determined in advance by your group). Any time a player makes back-to-back double bogeys or worse, they lose a point.

Wolf
My favorite golf betting game because you can double the bet on any hole and in some instances twice. You can start at $1 per hole and be betting over $40 per hole by the end.
I usually play with 3 but it works with 4 also

Lefty-Righty is simple and switches teams a lot. Two on the Left play the two on the Right and it is decided from the tee box not the green.
Closest to the hole on par 3s.
Wolf is the most fun.
Can always do dealer's (first to drive) game.

Pass the Buck is fun as a side bet or bet when playing with strangers or big handicap variances...
Each player puts a set amount of money in the pot (the buck) A playing order is established and player 1 starts with the buck. If he hits his next shot into a mown area (fairway, rough), he keeps it. If he hits in Hazards, Bunkers, Native Areas, Woods, OB or lost ball, he must pass the buck to the next player. You also lose the buck for three putting. A birdie on a hole steals the buck, regardless of playing order. Last player to hold the buck when the round is complete wins it.
It's an easy, no brainer game.

Quarter game - been playing this a lot lately.
Very similar to wolf except every player flips a quarter on each box. Quarters pick the teams. Can push at anytime. Some holes work out 2v2, 3v1 or all on all.

You got any pick up basketball betting games?

Was in a group that played a variation of skins. Everyone put up $20, $1 a hole skins, but $2 plus any holes not won in skins went to the low net. It gave the high handicappers a chance to compete.

I like to have a gentlemanly game of golf with no betting.
Then knock some frickin teeth out in the parking lot and steal cash
