LSU will be fine with any of the mentioned candidates as coach.

The objective is not to be fine. The objective is to be a dominant program that wins the SEC more often than it does not. The objective is to win national championships and use the excellence of the football program to transform and upgrade the university.

This is why is matters. This is why you can't hire a position coach with a questionable (at best) history. This is why you can't hire someone who has never once in his history as head coach (or interim coach) spurred his team to exceed average results for the talent on the team.

This is why LSU must hire a coach with a real likelihood of being dominant. Either a proven commodity with NC level achievement or an outstanding young coach who has NC potential - demonstrated by making his teams outperform their recruiting rankings.
