I will say this about the single man's argument:
I sure do fricking hate having to go to all types of functions with my SO that I had no idea about until the day before... it's like, frick, I already have the boat loaded up and ready to roll for the morning, why do I have to go to your 2nd great aunt suzy's 86th birthday party
