I hunt the state line on 967
Deer numbers are down big time.
Hog numbers up.
Also the maturation of the woods in the area doesn't help. Not thick like it used to be

Could be a big factor. Carrying capacity for thick cutover can be as high as 1 deer per 5 acres. Where for mature woods (especially with pine mixed in) can be as low as 1 per 30 acres.
