NFL and the owners want fancy new stadiums and they want taxpayers to foot the bill. St Louis and San Diego told them to frick off

So instead of just staying put and keeping on the way they've been doing, they want to move cities entirely? Sounds like an extreme overreaction yeah?

Oakland's situation is different. Their stadium is a nightmare.

I get why people want owners to pay for their own stadium, but if you have another city willing to build it for you, you go

I relate it to marriage. If you've been married 20 years and your wife says "suck your own dick" and a hot young blonde comes calling offering a blowjob palace, it's hard not to leave

Oakland's situation is much different. I believe SD is in the same boat too, other than sharing a stadium with a MLB team.

O.CO is the 3rd oldest stadium in the NFL and hasn't seen much upgrades. It has sewage issues, drainage issues, and the field is a disaster.

I'm not entirely sure if this is true, but when Al was alive, he burned a lot of bridges with Oakland city officials, so that's why it's been so tough for Mark to get them to build a new stadium. Mark is also seeing a bigger opportunity in Vegas where he is the only team there and has a strong following still. In the Bay area, he has to compete with the Niners.
