re: How to find your happy median between being happy and amount of money you make?

I was in that spot. I took a big pay decrease for a less stressful position/life. My family life and quality of life improved a ton, but I have grown complacent and discontent with living on less. For me, it has been difficult to get back to where I was. I have been trying to find a happy middle ground, but no such luck yet with the right opportunity. However, I'm in process on a potential opportunity that sounds like it will be the perfect combination for me.

Long story short...it was probably worth it for me, but I do second guess my decision often.
