As have an overwhelming majority of these millennial cry babies that have been marching.

Its the direct result of parents not spanking kids when they were little and misbehaved, as well as not telling kids NO, and not letting kids experience adversity.

I may sound bad in saying that but its my opinion.

She said she won't have any health insurance when she comes off her parents plan when she turns 26 and she might still be in college.

I saw that this morning. There is so much wrong in that one statement.

Unless you are an invalid, you should not be on 'parent's plan' after you turn 18.

If you are 26 you should be well on your way to not only self-sufficiency, but on your way to establishing a rock solid career.

If you are still in college at 26, you better be in the final phases of a PhD program or you should go find a fricn' job.

And if you hit the trifecta of all three of those pathetic circumstances you need to be slapped hard in the face and told to wake the F up.

In all fairness, these people are showing themselves to be handicapped.

26???? Jesus I had my own health insurance by the time I was 26. WTF is wrong with these young people today?

One of the greatest malfeasances is that the SJWs have made this "sound bad" when it is the best way to ensure a responsible adult. Now there may be some combinations of kid and parent who can accomplish the same goal with other means - and there may be some combinations of kid/parent where this will not be effective.

But for the VAST MAJORITY OF HUMANITY - this is the recipe for producing a civil society with responsibility and maturity to advance toward higher goals.

Screw the mind-sickness that has taken these tried and true methods out of the parents hands and reproduced them with ivory-tower 'child psychology' bullshite. The millennials of todays population are demonstrating the absolute failure of this new-age bullshite.

Staying on your parents insurance until 26 is pathetic

How so? My parents premium would not have gone up or down had I left or stayed on the plan. I stayed on their plan but paid the deductible if I ever needed to go to the doctor. I saved a lot of money by staying on until I was 26.

Same here - I graduated college at 21 and already had 2 children and a job with insurance. By the time I was 26 I had already paid back my student loan debt and was helping my parents and in-laws with some of their expenses.

Today's snowflakes piss me off with their absolute air-headed view of life.

I'm 25, have a full time job, make more money than either of my parents, am offered a really good healthcare plan through work, and I am still on my parents healthcare.

When I took my job it was going to cost me $125 /month for health and dental. It was going to save my parents $0 for me to stay on theirs for another few months. Easy decision all around for us. I just send my folks a gift card to a restaurant every so often as a thank you for saving me some money.

Prior to the ACA, you could purchase a major medical plan with an annual deductible for pennies when you were in your twenties.

Irony considering I'm not a republican and you just "judged the shite" out of me.

But by all means, please keep telling us what's wrong with something I'm not affiliated with, especially without knowing me.

That's well and good and all but understand that this along with several other factors is causing the unprecedented spike in premiums across the country.
