Top 6 scores get a W for the week, Bottom 6 get L's..... until the playoffs then seeded according to point total then it becomes Win/Loss

I like it because every year it seems I'm a top 3 scoring team and fighting to make the playoffs. This year is the worst, 100$ league, i'm leading the second place guy by 70 in points Scored but i'll be 4-5 after this week. Obviously fighting for the playoffs even though i've been the most consistent at scoring.

Why change it up in the playoffs?

I have in years past overcome the head to head format. Even though the odds seem to continuously stack against my roster every single season.

I have always been a top 2-3 scoring team pitted against the top 2-3 scoring allowed over the course of the season.

This year has been no different except the losses are piling up. I have a bonafide playoff team and I am currently out of the playoffs.

If ever there was a year to make me really consider a format switch this has been the one.

I see scoring suckfests every week where some teams are getting W's with 90 points vs me collecting L's in 120-140 shootouts.

Nope.

Give me head to head every day of the week. That's the fun of fantasy, I can't stand the babies who cry about scoring most points.

The top half-bottom half is a popular idea around here. I tried to sell it to my league this offseason, but nobody went for it. Most people just didn't want to change and refused to even discuss. The one person who argued said that it is too complicated to keep up with.

Pretty lame imo.

This will be the 4th of the last 5 years that ive lead my league in scoring. assuming luck doesn't go my way this year again, i will have 1 championship to show for it.

That being said, doing the top teams get wins every week just seems boring and pointless.
It's fun to beat your friend 1 on 1, even if it's mostly luck.

Im in a dynasty where its a play all..you can be high score on the week and go 11-0.
I prefer the shite talking of the head to head format even though you sometime get an unlucky draw

I hear this from a team every year they are always top 2 scorer blah blah blah, but when I actually see it theyre usually like 4th or 5th in points and relatively close to 2nd place in points scored, but not 2nd. Its rare that a team actually 2-3 in points is fighting for playoffs, stop exaggerating.

I enjoy head 2 head and usually it works out just fine in my league. But then again we don't play for as much money as some of you so I can see a complaint.

One of the things that placates people when they bitch about having a losing record but scoring tons of points is to have a separate payout for the high scorer in your league

I used to be in a league where it wa a $50 buy-in

$30 went to who won the league and $20 would go to the high scorer

there were a couple years where the person that won the league was also the high scorer

but it gives the people bitching about wins v losses something to look forward to throughout the season
