Should I be happy that apparently they think my home went up in value by 12%?

I really don't give a shite. I'm just bored and busting balls.

I do believe that if the parish reassesses up more than a couple of percent in one year, then you should be able to put the property up for sale within 30 days as an assessment sale. It would spend three months at silent auction with only one open bid: the parish places a bid at the parish's assessed value of the home. 90 days after being put up for sale, it closes and goes to the highest bidder. Would stop this money grab bullshite right quick or bankrupt the corrupt parishes. Problem solved.

Well I was just responding to the thread in general.

My house didn't flood. So my new apparent value has to make up for someone who flooded which the value went down.

All about generating tax base.
