I did not serve. They veterans I know are Vietnam era. The ones that were in combat didn't talk about it. One guy I worked with back then would say he was there, he played in a band. OK cool - but I knew guys that would jump out of their skins with the slightest noise.

My dad was UDT during Vietnam. He does not talk about it.

I went to LSU before and after my three bluewater tours of VietNam.

There was a story circulating of a veteran taking a drafting class. The prof would sneak around and peek over his student's shoulders to see how they were doing. Said veteran warned the professor several times to not sneak up on him. Of course, the prof ignored him.

Several days later the other students had to pull the veteran's hands off the throat of the professor.

After an investigation, no action was taken against the veteran.
