I've had a Precision M3800 which looks like it was replaced by the 5000 series. It's a great machine, no real complaints.
We've had great service out of the Dell Latitudes, Optiplexes, and Precisions. We have thousands deployed with few issues. Dell's consumer line isn't so hot from the little I've seen though.

I was looking at the XPS line for a home computer to use for internet and Microsoft Office but don't want one as slim as the 13 inch is. I have never owned Dell but reviews seem hit or miss.
