My advice is not to attempt to get into the fenced in area right behind the GameDay stage. There are too many rules you have to follow. You can bring in signs, but not mounted on anything. So its really tough to get any air time for a sign if you've spent a lot work creating. You also cannot bring any bottles (even if its water) inside that area either, people have thrown bottles in the past at GameDay staff.
My wife and I had much more fun staying on the outside of the fence. If you have a sign you want on TV, get something tall to mount it on and position yourself behind Kirk Herbstreit. He gets the most face time of any commentators behind the desk, and I've gotten a lot of TV time for my signs by positioning myself to where my sign is right over his left or right shoulder.
Also, if you're planning on going to the game don't yell too much! Save your voice for the Alabama Offence. If I leave an LSU game with the ability to talk I don't feel like I did my job as a Tiger fan.
Have fun!
